"But I don't want to do the laundry." A 19-year-old young woman exclaimed.

"You're going to do it, young lady!" Doris, the young woman's mother exclaimed. "And that's final!"

"You can't make me! So there!"

"Argh! I give up, Hatashi. I just give up." Doris sighed. "Why can't you be like your younger brother and sister, Carlos and Lori?"

"I guess I don't want to." Hatashi replied. Then she walked off to her bedroom. Hatashi walked into her bedroom, turned her stereo on and pushed play to hear "Dance Plus 2003" by various artists. Hatashi turns the volume up as loud as it can and closes her door.

Hatashi is a 19, almost 20, year old young woman. But there is only one thing different about her. Hatashi is a human, but she has cat ears and tail. She has been very angry with her mother ever since her father, Thomas, past away when Hatashi was 10 years old. Thomas always kept order in the house they all lived in.

"HATASHI, TURN IT DOWN, NOW!" Doris yelled from the other side of her daughter's bedroom door.

"NO! I'M NOT TURNING MY MUSIC DOWN!" Hatashi screamed over the loud music. She turned her music a bit louder so Hatashi can't hear her mother yelling at her.

"FINE. BE LIKE THAT." Doris yelled. Then she left in a fury to go do the laundry.

Hatashi sat in her room, listening to her music as she brushes her hair and tail. After she finished brushing her hair and tail, she something hit her window. Hatashi walked to her window, looked outside and saw her boyfriend, Ky Hayate, throwing pebbles at her window.

Ky Hayate is a 20-year-old and he is also a human but with cat ears and tail, like Hatashi. He met Hatashi a year before her father passed away. Ky dated Hatashi up until Thomas passed away. He knows that Hatashi and her mother get into big arguments. So Ky stays out of their way when they argue.

"Come on down!" Ky yelled from outside.

"I'll be right down!" Hatashi replied from her bedroom window. She turned off her music, slipped into a light blue tank top and short, blue skirt. After Hatashi got her clothes on, she ran down the stairs, fast and out the front door before Doris knew she left.

"I had to run out here before my mother knew I'd left." Hatashi said, exhausted.

"What? Are you in trouble?"

"No, I'm not in trouble. All I had to do was the laundry."

"Just the laundry?" Ky asked, puzzled. "I thought you had to wash the dishes and watch your younger brother and sister, Carlos and Lori?"

"No. Just the laundry." Hatashi replied. "So, why are you here?"

"Just wanted to know what my girl wants to do today."

"Umm..." Hatashi starts thinking of what to do today. "Let's go dancing, hmm?"

Ky thought for a sec then replied, "Sure. I haven't taken you dancing when your father passed away." When Ky mentioned Hatashi's father, her head went down and so did her cat ears. Ky sees his girl's head and ears down and thinks of something, fast. "I didn't mean to say that."

Hatashi's head came up but her ears stayed down. She looks at him with a smile on her face. "It's ok. I forgive you." Then she gives Ky a hug to make him feel better. "Now, let's go dancing. But, how are we going to get there?"

"We're going to take my brand new Jeep Cherokee Sport and go find a dance club to dance in."

"Yeah? Wow! When did you get it?"

"A few days ago."

"Really??"

"Yeah. Now shall we?"

"Yeah, let's go." Hatashi said, excitedly. Then walked to the Jeep Cherokee Sport and waited at the passenger door. Ky walked to the passenger door, opened it, let her get in, closed the door and walked over to the driver's side. He got I, put his belt on, backed up and drove off.

"Let's turn the radio on." Hatashi replied. She leaned forward and turned the radio on. She leaned back and listened to the music while Ky drives around, looking for a dance club. He found a few dance clubs they weren't right. Ky wanted to find the right one for Hatashi. Finally, Ky found the right one for his girl. He stopped the car, took his belt off, got out and walked over to Hatashi's door. Ky opened her door and Hatashi stepped out. Then Ky closed her door. The bouncer opened the first door for them. They walked in and heard music, really good music to dance to. Ky opened the second door and Hatashi walked in.

Hatashi walked in, stopped, turned to face her boyfriend and said, "Wow. What a great place!" she walked up to him, hugged him then gave him a kiss. 'I knew she'd like this place' Ky thought as she is kissing him. After he enjoyed the sweetness kiss from his girlfriend, he guided her to the table. Ky pulled a chair out for her and Hatashi sat down. Ky then pushed the chair in and sat in the chair next to Hatashi. The music stopped for a sec, and then started up. The song that was playing was called, "Independent Woman Part 1" by Destiny's Child. Hatashi got up from her chair and dashed to the stage. She got up to the mic and started singing and dancing.

Ky looked up and noticed that Hatashi was gone from her chair. He looked all over the dance club until he found her, on the stage, singing and dancing. Ky smiled and sat back down while watching her. After the song was finished, Hatashi headed back to her chair to relax. As she walked back to her chair, everyone in the dance club, even Ky, was clapping, cheering and some guys were whistling at her. Ky got a bit annoyed when the guys were whistling at his girlfriend. She sat back down in the chair while everyone continued to clap and cheer. Hatashi got up, bowed, and then sat back down.

"That was amazing, Hatashi." Ky said, happily. "When did you learn how to sing and dance like that?"

"At home." Hatashi replied while blushing a bit. "I practice at home, in my bedroom."

"That was still amazing."

"Thanks Ky."

"No prob Hatashi."

A waitress came by their table and asked what they wanted. Ky asked for two cokes for them. The waitress went to the counter, filled up two glasses of coke, and then came back with the two glasses of coke on her tray. She placed one infront of Hatashi and the second one infront of Ky. Then Ky gave the waitress a 5 then told her to keep the change. The waitress nodded her head then left their table and went to another one. Hatashi took one sip of her coke then heard one of her favs. It's called, "One More Time" by Daft Punk. She got up from her chair, grabbed Ky's hand and dragged him to the dance floor. Hatashi starts dancing while her boyfriend is watching her. She sees him not dancing. "Why aren't you dancing?" Hatashi hollered over the music. Ky looked at her, trying to think of something to say. "I...I don't k...know how." He replied over the music. "No one showed me how to dance." Hatashi thought for a sec as she's dancing.

"I'll show you how to dance."

"You will? You don't mind?"

"Nah, I don't mind."

Ky gave a thumb up. She told him to watch how her body moves with the beat. His eyes widened as how his girlfriend can dance. He watched how Hatashi swayed with the beat. Then Ky starts to do the same as his girl. "I got it! I got it!" Ky exclaimed.

"Yeah. You got it. Good for you." She replied. "I'm so proud of you." Hatashi moves closer to her boyfriend and gave him a huge kiss. 'Sweet' Ky's thinking when his girl gave him the huge kiss. The song finished and everyone who was on the dance floor, went back to their tables, even Ky and Hatashi.

"That was fun. Hmm, Ky?" Hatashi asked as she sat back down in her chair.

"Yeah. And thanks for showing how to dance, Hatashi."

"No problem."

They finished their cokes, got up from their chairs and headed for the door. Before Ky opened the door, one guy said, "It's very windy outside."

"Very windy?" Hatashi asked, puzzled a bit. "How can that be?"

"I don't know." The guy replied. "But that's what I heard from a bunch of girls. They won't go out there cause their skirts will blow up. I don't mind seeing that. Take my word on this, ok?"

After the guy said that, Hatashi got a bit nervous. Ky saw the worried look on his girl. "It's ok." He said, hugging her and kissing her forehead while trying to calm her down.

"How?" Hatashi asked. "Look at what I'm wearing!" Ky looked at what she's wearing.

"You're wearing a tank top and a skirt."

"A short skirt."

"Oh. WHAT?! A SHORT SKIRT?!?!"

"Yeah!" Hatashi replied, crying. "I can't go out there like this." She sat on the floor, crying her eyes out.

"I'll think of a way." Ky said. He starts walking around trying to think of how to get his girl to the car, without her short skirt going up by the strong wind. Then he got an idea. He asked everyone in the dance club if they had a long coat or a piece of long cloth.

"I have some old tablecloths in the back. Want me to get them?" the manager asked from is office.

"Yeah. Go get them. Get as many as you can carry."

The manager dashed off to the closet, opened the door and grabbed all of the tablecloths he could find. He ran out of his office and to where everyone is. The manager gave the girls, even Hatashi, a long tablecloth. All of the girls didn't know what to do with the tablecloth. Hatashi thought for a sec, and then wrapped it around her. She held onto the sheet very tightly and looked at her boyfriend with a smile.

"Well?" Hatashi asked.

"Yeah. Ready?"

"Yeah! Ready!"

Ky opened the first door. They walked to the second door, opened it, saw the car and ran for the passenger's door. He opened it quickly. Hatashi hopped in, gave the sheet to Ky and she shut the door. Ky ran back with the sheet, gave it to the manager and ran back to the car. He got into the driver's side, started the Jeep Cherokee Sport, got his belt on and drove away.

As Ky drives, Hatashi starts to fall asleep. She closes her eyes and slowly drifts off to sleep. Ky looks at his girl from the corner of his eye. He smiles at her sleeping form. 'God, she looks like an angel when she sleeps.' He thought when he looked at her. Ky kept driving down the road, passing cars on the road. He turns off of the road and heads to his house. As he heads to his house, he noticed there were no cars parked in the driveway. 'Guess their not home yet.' Ky thought.

He parked his car in the driveway, got out, walked to her side and opened her door. Ky looked at hatashi's sleeping form, smiled and then very carefully, picked her up. Then he closed the door easy, without waking her up. Ky carried his girl into the house, took both his and her shoes off and walked into the living room. He continued to walk until he saw a flight of stairs. Ky walked up the staircase, walked passed a few bedrooms until he saw his room. He walked in, still carrying Hatashi, and gently placed her onto his bed. Hatashi twitched her ear a bit and moved her tail a bit and then settled back down. He smiled then he sat beside her on the bed.

As Ky looks at her, who is sleeping silently on his bed, he placed his hand on Hatashi's head and gently rubs it. She moves a bit when his hand touched her head. He smiled when she moved a bit. Hatashi opened her eyes slowly, blinked and then sat up while looking around.

"This isn't my house!" Hatashi exclaimed.

"I know but you fell asleep in the car and I decided to take you to my house. Besides, no one is home." Ky replied, smiling. "Now, go back to sleep."

"I'm not tired anymore. I just needed a rest from all the dancing."

"Yeah but you were great."

"I know. I practiced dancing in my room."

Hatashi looked at Ky and he looked back at her. They both looked into each other's eyes. Ky leaned forward, places his arms around Hatashi and gently pulls her closer to him. She wonders what her guy is going to do. She moves closer to him, looks into his eyes and then smiles.

"You got beautiful eyes, Hatashi." Ky replied, as he continued to pull his girl closer to him.

"So does yours, Ky."

They both continued looking into each other's eyes until they both started to lean forward. They were only a few inches when they heard a door close.

"I think my parents are home. They must have gotten home early." Ky said, feeling embarrassed while blushing.

"Why are you embarrassed and blushing, Ky?"

"W...Why? Cause I am. I always do that."

Ky looked at Hatashi, still blushing. She smiled at him, leaned forward and kissed his cheek. She got off of the bed, looked at him, smiled once more and then headed for the bedroom door. He smiled back, got off of the bed and headed for the bedroom door as well. Ky opened the door for Hatashi, she walked out and then he walked out, closing the door behind him. They headed down the stairs to the living room. They both looked in the kitchen and saw Ky's parents and twin brother.

"Hey mom and dad." Ky announced. Ky's parents turned around.

"Hey son." Replied Ky's dad. Then he noticed Hatashi, who is hiding behind him. "Why hey Hatashi. I didn't know you were here." Hatashi smiled then blushed a bit. Ky's dad laughed a bit.

"We just brought home groceries. Why don't you stay for supper, Hatashi?" Ky's mom asked.

"I'd be honoured to stay for supper." Hatashi replied, smiling.

"Let me prepare the food. When it's done, I'll call you, ok?"

"You sure you don't need help? I can help you out."

"That might be nice, Hatashi. Come and help." Ky's mom replied. Hatashi smiled and walked into the kitchen.

"We better leave them alone." Ky's dad said.

"Yeah. Good idea dad." Ky replied. Him, his twin bro and his dad left the kitchen while Hatashi and Ky's mom started to make supper. Ky's mom and Ky's girl chopped up veggies and some fruits. Hatashi brought out a plate of fruits and veggies and placed it on the table in the living room. She smiled then headed back to the kitchen. Then they put the turkey in the oven. They made the mashed potatoes as they waited for the turkey to cook. When the turkey was ready, Hatashi walked out of the kitchen with it on a huge plate. Ky's mom placed the huge bowl of mashed potatoes on the table.

"Supper's ready!" Hatashi called out. She placed the turkey on the table while Ky's mother placed the mashed potatoes on the table as well. The guys heard her and ran to the table as fast as they can. When they got there, the girls were already sitting down at the table. Ky sat beside his girl, his father sat beside his mother and his twin brother sat on the other side of Hatashi. Ky looked at his twin bro with evil in his eyes. The twin got up and sat beside his mom.

"That looks good, dear." Ky's father replied.

"You shouldn't thank me. Hatashi did most of the cooking." Ky's mother answered. Everyone looked at Hatashi. She just smiled. Then everyone started eating the supper Hatashi and Ky's mom made.

After supper, Hatashi helped Ky's mother with the dishes while the guys went to the living room to relax. When the girls finished cleaning the dishes, they walked to the living room and relaxed with the guys. After an hour later, when everyone settled down, Ky got up. Hatashi wondered why he's getting up. Then Ky looked at her.

"I think it's time for you to go home, Hatashi." Ky told her. She looked at the clock.

"Yeah, your right. I'd better get going." Hatashi replied, jumping off of the couch. "Thanks for having me here."

"Your quite welcome, Hatashi. You can come over anytime." Ky's mother said. Ky's father, mother and twin brother waved goodbye to Hatashi. She waved goodbye to them. Ky led her to his car and opened the passenger's door for her. Hatashi got in and he closed the door. Then Ky walked to the driver's side as Hatashi is putting on her belt. He got into the car, put his belt on, backed the car up and drove off, heading back to hatashi's house.

When they got to hatashi's house, she leaned forward, Ky turned his head and she kissed him on the lips before she got out of the car. Hatashi took her belt off, opened the door and got out. Before she closed the door, Hatashi said, "I love you, Ky."

"And I love you too, Hatashi." Ky replied. Hatashi closed the car door and walked to her house. Ky watched her walk to the front door before leaving. Hatashi walked in and Ky drove off, heading home.
